At has been a while… the last couple of months, I’ve been focusing on one of my all time favourites. The red fox… I like them so much, they are so cute, nice, colourful, shy, smart… whatever, I just like them.
I know some places where I see them very often and I think they are starting to accept me. Unfortunately these places are getting more and more visitors every year and foxes need to step aside as their territory is getting smaller. For example, one of the places I know in Belgium where some foxes have their hole, a railroad is being build 20 meters next to them. I doubt they will stay much longer as it will get worse with the noise. I think this is very sad as probably they are already living there for many generations. They will have to search for another location to make their habit. Soon they will get youngsters and I think this will be the last time I will see them in this spot.
I have decided not to follow them along to their new habitat as I will not disturb them… They still have to know that if they want to escape from something, us the humans, that they can. Some of you might think I sound like one of those “green” people but I found this hard to see and got emotional from it.
I’ve had a great time with these really, really beautiful animals and I hope they can find another great place. Pictures of them can be found in the foxes gallery…
Enjoy and see you next time.
