Last weekend I had the opportunity to go on a trip with Jan Vermeer, a Dutch nature photographer who’s work is published in magazines like National Geographic. Since last year, he is focussing on his own Dutch Nature Photography magazine: Natuur Foto Passie. We planned a trip to “Het Keukenhof”… for me this was something new as I didn’t knew what the place is. Too bad for me… When I arrived, I saw hordes of busses with thousands and thousands of tourists. Appearantly, “Het Keukenhof” is a world wide attraction for all tourists visiting Amsterdam. Nevertheless, this is a great spot where you can see more then 1000 kinds of tulips.
Jan learned me the trick of soft-focussing, this technique is very picturesque and great to do with for example flowers. Thank god that there were enough flowers to shoot in Het Keukenhof.
I want to thank Jan for a great day with a lot of fun and passion.
Take a look at some of the pictures taken with some real Dutch tulips.
